This is a re-purposed Military Ordinance wood crate. It was originally bare wood with black embossed print markings. It is 35 1/2" long, 9 1/2" wide, and 7 1/4" high. It has been painted with 'Barn Red' latex paint.
The lid is embossed - DETONATING FUZES / HANDLE CAREFULLY and the Ammunition Identification Code (AIC) S210A
The front side is embossed - 6 FUZES BOMB TAIL T743025 S210A SHORT DELAY - Lower left corner - WT CU 155 LOADED______
Bottom embossed - A.W. & W.M. Watson Co., Newtown, Bucks County, PA
The lid hinges and clasps are original, but also repainted.
Previous owner was a USAF MSgt. stationed in the UK.
