Dragged a wooden box out of the dumpster at the carroll county landfill in maryland, and what a find!, But i would love to know what this is

they look like hand forged curtain or drapes tie backs only problem is they are not a pair it looks like they both go on same side of curtains in stead of one being for right side and one for left hand side
Yup. That's what they look like to me also.
