Napoleonic plate in the manner of Old Vienna porcelain

This is a small plate 14 cm. diameter in fine porcelain. In the back, last picture, it is marked with "Retraite de Moscou" or in English "Moscow Retreat" under an imperial crown surmounting a N, sure done during Napoleon III period in France. A colorful scene, showing the emperor riding a white horse surrounded by soldiers, and has been the most usual image of the retreat from Russia in the history books. The border has jewelled white dots over and acqua green. The porcelain is very white. The most similar plate could be ind at ancient point and says "Antique Royal Vienna Hand painted cup and saucer set. Cup has hand painted scene depicting the Battle at Heilsberg, signed Jovy. The saucer has a hand painted scene depicting the Coronation of Napoleon I, signed David. Each has a gilded border design on green background. Has Gold Crown over N mark to bottom of both pieces. This mark is similar to Naples marks. However there is speculation the decorator may be Sevres. The original wares were provided by Royal Vienna, Austria. Blue underglaze bee hive or Bindenschild mark to bottom of saucer. Makers mark covered in gold on cup. Circa 1900. Cup measures 2 3/4" height (6.9cm). Saucer measures 5 7/8"diameter (14.9cm)."
