We found these two church pews at a local junk shop. We love them, but cannot identify the maker from the CB marking on the bottom.

I would question this being a pew or even a deacon's bench. They were normally made of slab wood as opposed to dimension stock. This would strike me as being a bench found in a country home. The pinning is common to both benches and harvest tables.
As for the mark, you may never know. Wood workers marks are seldom documented if it is in fact a makers mark. Many pieces were made from re-purposed materials and as a result had markings on them.
I seriously doubt this is an antique but it is none the less a good find. You didn't give any dimensions but that would have been helpful. Even just seat height and depth.

That may well matter. Although tracing it won't be easy without knowing what area it came from. I have been turning wood and building for decades and have my own marking system. tracing it to me is all but impossible because there is very little documented on wood marks except mass produced items. Every craftsman has his own way of marking his work. Wood isn't like tracing gold, silver, pewter, china etc.
