Gold and White Frosted Glass Boudoir lamps

I got this pair of boudoir lamps today to go with my wishbone dresser.They are shaped like small urns and are made of white frosted glass with cast metal parts painted gold. The plug says Academy Automatic made in USA and the switch has a Bakelite knob. They look old but I don't know how old. Any info on what these are and when the were made would be appreciated.
