I found these tea cups and saucers while cleaning out my parents barn. They are stamped Hand Painted, Made in Japan. The paint is raised in parts on the flowers and around the rim. They appear to be old by their coloring. They have been wrapped and stored away for years. It is a set of four. Is there anyway to find out the maker or an approximate value? I believe they may have belonged to a great uncle of mine.

Gorgeous set, and I think maybe pre WW2. I am no expert however!
The raised pattern is called moriage and is made using a clay slip. ...these a beautifully hand painted too.
I'm sure someone who really knows will be along soon to help.
