This is a 4" heart shaped spoon, with the stamp inside the bowl of 'DEC 1900'. It has a 'Sterling' stamp on the back, and another stamp that I cannot make out. I found it in a St Vinnie's second hand store, and just fell in love with it. I know nothing more about it. It looks like it might have been part of a monthly collection or something. It makes my heart smile when I see it.
I collect spoons as a hobby, but not as a typical collector. I have a chronic illness, and the 'Spoon Theory' is a daily reminder to myself to pace myself. I keep spoons around as reminders, and I often send them to others as a 'support' gift, to share 'spoons' with them in times of need. (Google Spoon Theory for the story.)
I would welcome any knowledge of this spoon, or maybe it's history?
