Brown etched pottery wall hanging plate

Where I got this plate from lady said to her Mother, possibly Italy right Mom, she couldn't remember where she got it.
It's all etched by hand, somewhat looks like a face in the center or the hallmark.
Anybody familiar with this style of plate ?
