Recently, my Aunt gave me this quilt.
The cloth is cotton. The quilt measures 73 in. X 80 in. It had a handwritten note pinned to it. The person that pieced and set the quilt was my 3 times great Grandmother. This Great-Great-Great-Grandmother, Helen Young-Peterson, lived her life in Sweden in the early 1800's.
My Great-Great Grandmother, Helen Sophia Peterson-Nelson, was born in Sweden in 1845. She immigrated to the US in 1868. Helen married in 1861. She had 9 children between 1871 & 1888, living in Wichita, Kansas. She died in 1936.

What a wonderful heirloom quilt. Would have been nice to see it spread in order to see the pattern. :)
