    We inherited this lamp from my wife's grand parents. They most likely purchased it prior to WWII. I think the base and pole are bronze and the top portion is brass. Do you think the plain shade is original? I could not find any markings on it.

      These were made most likely just after ww2, approx 1946 according to sears and eatons catalogs. They had a large round parchment shade on top which covered all the bulbs.
