Bought at the same shop as the Taxco cuff bracelet. These earrings are hand made. The sterling mark was very difficult to find, but it's there. The store staff apparently didn't notice it.

I've never seen this particular design before - they look like lanterns to me. They are also heavy. Jump on in if you know something!

Cut & your mentioning that they are noticeably heavy makes me think leaded crystal, which is so much heavier than a glass bead of the same size. Love the color. They do look like little lanterns.
