Got it from a garage sale years ago. I know nothing about it. Some one please tell me about it and what it may be worth. It's made from brass and abalone. 34 inches tall, 40 inches around at its widest point.

Japanese I believe and is shell inlaid in black lacquer over the brass base.

isn't this Korean? lot of MOP / laquer comes from Korea and this has a meiping shape too, which is Korean.
