    Just trying to get info on these. Grandpa brought back from Germany WWII. I have no idea what they are, I've looked at a bunch of websites. hope someone knows! They stand 8 inches tall and base is 3.75 inches. Thanks in advance!!

      They are both Student Association Steins (similar to fraternities). The they both have the Number "280" which is the mold number.

      The red stein has a VB stamp witch stands for Villeroy and Bosch. It has 96 and 20 stamped in it, so I would believe it was manufactured in either 1896 or 1920.

      The blue stein is most likely made by Villeroy & Bosch. The art work was completed by Friedrich van Hauten, please see the Stein Marks page for more information.
