Asian pottery ceramics Large jar bowl with lid Rooster

Fun Large and colorful caught my eye. Hand painted rooster with signature script. I bought this at a charity thrift store about a month ago.
I haven't done much research on this piece. I'm not sure if it is Chinese, but I have seen other pieces that are described as Chinese and as temple jars. Some flaws with charm a great kitchen display piece.
