I don't know for sure where these came from, but I believe they may have from NYC in the early 1900's.
They are cut steel, with leather protecting the back of the clip itself.
There is a piece of steel missing from one of them, but look like they may have only been worn a couple times.
I imagine my grandmother may have worn them when she was a young mother in Long Island.
