Found this hatchet sized puzzle in a house clean up.
Outer 2 blades have modestly sharp leading edge, with huge (1/4") serrations on trailing edge.
The middle segment has identical serrations; w/o any edge, which faces forward (same as the outer blades cutting edge).
No maker marks or names; dates to approx. 1960's or '70's, or who the hell knows.
Any ideas or leads would put my mind to rest. Thanks!

The entire 'head' assbly. can be disassembled via a wing nut.

I think it might be a gardening tool used to loosen the soil in flowerbeds and such. You say the 'head' parts come apart -- I wonder if the small one in the middle should be turned around backwards to fit between the other 'toothed' blades??

Looks like a meat tenderizer to me. I think that the blades need switching so the three serated blades are together
