Big Box of Green Stones - Serpentine?

These are green stones - all different shades. The rocks feel waxy and i think they do have a wax applied to them - to prevent the white chalky part of serpentine from showing, i think. the third pic shows some which i've cleaned off. They still feel kind of waxy - like serpentine does.

I wonder what kind of stones they all are? some of them look wrong for serpentine - those clear emerald colored ones, for example.
