Just wondering if this chuck of turquoise is worth paying for an appraisal? Any information about its origin could be helpful as well.
Weighs at least a pound. I compared it with a bag of rice in one hand and this rock in the other. Kind of embarrassing but my postage scale seems to be M.I.A. at the moment. :)
I just Googled "turquoise value" and the first result was a good tutorial on determining value. You could also take it to a jeweler.
This is really low quality colour. Don't keep up with values, but doubt it's worth much.
