Recently acquired a very clean and hefty pair of WISS Inlaid 8BLT Leather/Belt Cutting Shears. Their age is unknown.

Length: 8-1/2”
Blade Length: 3”
Weight: 10.8 oz

The J. Wiss & Sons Co. website has a lot of catalogs, and I found mention of the 8-BLT model in catalogs from 1963 and 1969:

For instance, there is a pair of belt shears at the bottom of page 17 of the 1950 catalog, but it doesn't mention a model number:
