When is a car not a car?
When it's a boat of course!

The Volkswagen Schwimmwagen is a light four-wheel drive amphibious car, used extensively by German ground forces during the Second World War. With over 15,000 units built, the Schwimmwagen was the most-produced amphibious car in history

On land the Schwimmwagen behaves like a normal car, with 4 wheel drive available in first gear and a top speed of 50mph. When crossing water a propeller could be lowered down from the rear engine cover giving the Schwimmwagen a top speed of 10 km/h (6 mph) in the water. The front wheels doubled up as rudders, so steering was done with the steering wheel both on land and on water.

The model is 1:43 again and shows a late war version dressed in Field grey colour scheme with its canvas roof up. The propeller and boat like shape to the front and back can be clearly seen.

    Merry Christmas everyone!

That is an interesting car, Deja Vu2. I like the colour. I wonder if the owner has ever taken in the water? There is only really one king of the amphibious car though..... https://www.007.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/ai_007_lotus_LS_10.jpg
