Hammond/Viking Illuminated Alarm Clock

This early 1930's alarm clock was made by Viking Products, maker of the "Moon-glo" clocks. This one only credits The Hammond Clock Co. on the ID tag. The case is black Bakelite, and the face is a 1/4 inch thick piece of glass into which the numerals were cut. The hands are finished with silver wrinkle-type paint, and the numerals were filled with the same silver paint. A small light bulb in the base shines up through the glass to illuminate the numerals.
