Tin Circus Roller Coaster with Tin Car.

Wind up coaster with a lot of details. I think it is a Chen and made in the 1940's. Has had some fresh paint and is unfortunately missing the bell and ice scream button. I noticed that the track has a piece of copper wire on it. Would anyone know what the purpose for this is?

    Thank you for your help.

I love this piece, I collect objects like this. The copper wire could be for the car so it stays on there, either magnetic or hook on.
