i just picked these up today. it looks in too good condition to be real victorian, but it's pretty elaborate for a modern repro...??

I can't tell you if it is Victorian, but it certainly isn't a "cheap knock-off"!

thanks blunderbuss2. i think it may be modern though. it's just too clean and it has what appear to be modern screws/nuts underneath. it's still nice. sure won't blow over in a windstorm!

blunderbuss is right. If it LOOKS to GOOD, and you thought enough of it to PURCHASE IT, you should BE HAPPY.

Nice looking set that I would think is modern as well.

Add some pictures of the feet bottoms and any screw connections to confirm.

Solid brass-- what does it weigh?

i don't think it's solid brass, but it is very heavy. i think it's pot metal which has been painted to look like brass.
