    This was my grandmothers and I believe she used it as a door weight to keep door open. I would love to know some history on this piece and hope someone will know what the markings on the bottom mean. Any info would be great.

      Thank-you..upon researching more, I thought it was a bookend. Will need to research more now and find out more info. There are no holes on back to attach to the wall...will have to check that out.

      I just found another one- same style, but all one color on Ebay..as a bookend, but haven't found another like this one..Still researching
