*** Based in Wiesbaden in the southwest of Germany (hence the name Armistice Commission in Wiesbaden), it is under the authority of the German High Command. This committee shall, through numerous subcommittees of all topics related to the fighting and the German occupation of France; it was mainly dealing with occupancy costs of the German Army, but is mostly used by the Germans to exploit and adapt the economy of France to the needs of the Reich. The surtax was used for Hitler's Culture Fund.
