Recent auction acquisition. 14" x .75" x 6" Salesman's Demonstrator. Patented by Lafe Swank & James E. Vandeventer, of Anderson, Indiana. Patent No. 1,171,793, February 15, 1916. Patent assigned to Dwiggins Wire Fence Company, Anderson, Indiana.
Known as the "Star Never Sag Gate". Photo 3 & 4 for reference.
Display stand created and missing screws replaced March 2014.
Tried a different patent search criteria and located the patent January 17, 2014.
