Vintage Foley Coffee Scoop

This is a vintage 1960's Foley Mfg. Co. aluminum coffee scoop. Imprinted on the bottom is COFFEE MEASURE 2 TBSP and on the anodized handle (gives it a red tint), the back of handle is imprinted Made for Foley in Japan. -- This item was product #179 and sold for 29¢.
-- Foley Manufacturing Company, Minneapolis, Minnesota was founded in 1926 and their first product was a food mill acquired and licensed from a foreign patent in 1933. This food mill is still in production today. Two other early products that were very successful was the tri-blade Foley chopper and the Foley blender. During the 50's and 60's Foley continued to introduce new products such as handheld juicers, shredders & measuring tools that expanded their kitchenware line. In the 1960's, many of their items were made for them in Japan. In 1984 the Foley Company became part of the Newell Companies and production continued as the Foley-Martens Co. - Products are currently manufactured at a plant in Kingsford, Michigan.
