Veritas "wizard" paraffin oil lantern lamp

I found this item and cannot find any reference to what it is or any other picture of one . On the top it has "Veritas" and " wizard" and made in England . also on the top of the oil tank. I have done some research and found that the maker name "Veritas" by Jean Stadelmann & Co and was made available to Falk Stadelmann in London, initially for gas lamp mantles. Later, the brand was to became a major name in the interwar years in the UK.

My lamp looks very similar to the Dietz Little Wizard made in the USA .

I have no idea what I have or the age of the item , whether to restore or not to restore , it is in operational condition but the history and confusion with names are puzzling me . Can anyone help ?
