cool 5 buck thrift shop find keeping realy good time only flaw is crystal is missing,..keeping my eye out for one i can swap into it...no idea when it was made anyone have any ideas? its a solid lil thing fairly heavy metal case with a tan leather wrap with gold painted accents

Looks like some version of the Seth Thomas "Deft 3" model from circa 1950. The only problem is that the catalog describes this model as having a solid mahogany case. The brass bezel and "brass colored base" are supposed to be fully polished. Perhaps they offered it with a leather wrap too. Just don't know. The Deft 3 originally retailed for $11.02 . It was offered with a plain dial or a Luminous dial for about a $1.22 extra. Nice clock in any "case". Hope that helps solve your mystery.
