Any know about this ?? Mom bought it in Japan in the fifties , not selling just asking , passed down to me

Back shot to show the narks if any would be helpful.

I think he is Shojo .... a kind of Japanese sea spirit with a red face and hair and a fondness of alcohol.

He appears as a character in a Noh play of the same name too.
