Mickey Mouse Purse or Pouch?

I don't know what this is. It is some kind of pouch or purse I think. It has Mickey on the front and measures 7.25" high x 6.75" at widest point. It says Made in Jamaica and Walt Disney Productions. It has two small holes on each side as if a strap or string went through. My boyfriend got it from his grandfather when he was a boy.
