Picked this lovely pin brooch up many years ago at an antique store thought it was pretty. Does anyone have any idea what it's origin is?

Could we have a photo of the back of the brooch please? If there are any marks or stamps on the back, a close up of those would help. Do you know if it is sterling silver or not? It's a lovely brooch - very nice shape.

Hi Gillian thanks for your comments. I think it is sterling silver & there are markings on the back they look like the numbers they're hard to make out though. I hope those pictures help?! Thank you again.

The numbers may refer to a design mold. Look carefully at the marcasites. Are they glued in? Do they look like a tiny bead of metal has been pushed over the edge to hold them in? Or are there tiny sharp prongs?
My WAG is 1930s rhodium plate. Looks to be in very nice shape
