My father worked in advertising in the 60s and 70s. I think he may have gotten this watch during an ad campaign. Any ideas?

is it wind-up or battery? would help date era. I'm pretty sure missing a gold-tone bezel ring, as this styling of watch would have.
I would say quartz watch approx. 1982 and newer....Diet Coke didn't exsist prior to that
