I found this Ax , Hatchet at a garage sale. It is marked( Sears AP-50733E)

Hi,
Can anyone tell me anything about this Axe. I have not been able to find another one like it. The numbers must be cataloged some place but I am unable to find a thing. It has a blue coating, round back, weighs about 51/2 lbs and is 8" long. The lady that I bought it from said her father worked for sears in the early 1900's and she assumes he aquired it when he worked for them.
