This brooch is a very interesting piece, the front is so black that I wasn't sure if it was silver and dirty or maybe it was meant to be that color , possibly a mourning piece, the back is much lighter and the faux pearl , is a odd grayish green color, the brooch is marked Vendome
Rub pearl on your teeth, if it feels like sandpaper, it is real. I think two are missing off the posts next to it.
Yes, Celiene so do I, I found that the pearl was faux , thank goodness because I'm not too fond of the teeth method
