Victorian cased ribbed pink satin glass jack in the pulpit vase

This Victorian glass vase was an op shop (thrift store find). Made from cased glass, it has a pink ribbed exterior over a white interior. The entire vase has a satin finish & the ribs are a deeper shade of pink than the rest of the vase. It measures 13.5 cm tall, 6 cm across the jack in the pulpit shaped top rim, & 4 cm across the base. This type of satin glass with raised patterns is often referred to as "cut velvet" glass, & seems to be attributed to various countries of origin - America, England & Bohemia. Like most Victorian fancy glass, it is probable that it was made by numerous manufacturers. This instantly became one of my favourites & set off a hunt for more examples of cut velvet glass...I enjoy the dual textures at play in these, the satin finish combined with raised ribs or quilting.
