    Just trying to figure out what exactly this is. Looks to me like it might be a coin but no idea if it really is. I placed a US penny for reference to size.

      It has the looks of a widow's mite coin, however I would not count on it being genuine.

      I agree with TubeAmp, looks like widows mite, there have been mass productions of replicas used to represent the biblical account of how this coin got its name and various other uses even some attempts to pass replicas off as an authentic piece. In my opinion, your best bet would be to take it to a local coin shop to get their professional opinion (remember never sell to the same person you have appraise an item). Good Luck
