Fresh auction find, looks to be brass and not tin but im not quite sure, though it is not magnetic. I read the early lanterns from the 18th century were mainly brass and tin ones were 19th century. It has great patina and someone was nice enough to leave a small piece of candle inside it! Any additional thoughts and info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ed
