    I found this old rug at a thrift store. I love the colour even though faded. Is this a Native American saddle blanket?

      No, not Native American. The Navajo are the only Native American tribe that weaves rugs, and their weaving is identified not by the designs (since most of their design patterns actually originated in the Middle East and Asia) but by the way they are woven. They use a different weaving technique, and a unique type of loom. I don't recognize this, however, so all I can tell you is that it isn't Native American.
