Very unique antique brooch that I found in my box of family collectibles. I cannot find anything similar to this. The back is signed but I cannot read it. Any help in identifying this would be great! This is dirty and needs cleaned but I cannot do this as the piece is fragile so I will take it to a jeweler.

When you have it cleaned the jeweler will be able to identify it.

It's unique but not an antique. The clasp and hinge put it in the later part of the 20th Century. The pin is steel. Looks like gold plated costume jewelry. You can clean up that stamp with a soft toothbrush , water and a tiny bit of dish soap. You won't hurt it. Can't tell you anything about it if I can't see the stamp.

I am not sure but I can see some similarities with one of my postings. The mark on mine was very hard to read too. Have look:
