Please identify this weird chair !!

I found this in a thrift shop and I let my daughter talk me out of buying it for $30. Now its all I can think about. LOL So Im going back today to get it.

There's not much I can say about it. The material is Velour, obviously pretty well used. The armchairs are super smooth and faded wear you'd expect them to be from use. I will probably sand and stain and possibly re-do the green velour as I really like the fabric, it just needs an updating of new velour. I'm not much of a DIY person, but I plan to with this chair. IF it's still there !

So, let's just say a miracle happens and it's worth a bunch of money if authentic......how could I tell if it's authentic or not? I don't really want to sell it either way.....just want to know more about it. Thanks in advance, ZZ
