At today's silver value, it's $0.95 worth.

Its a war nickel. There is about 56% Silver in the Jefferson nickels made from 1942-1945. Also note the location of the mintmark, above the memorial. its a cool keeper. Made in the Philadelphia mint.
35% silver-- most of it is copper (56%).
