I found this Cameo today. It's been damaged and it was only $3. I bought it, will wear it flaws and all. It needed a home.

Thanks Tassie! It isn't the best-made cameo, don't know if the metal is gold. I don't know a lot about it, but I love it.
Glad you are giving it a second lease on life. It has seen some hard knocks. Helmet shell cameo of the woman in a country lane genre, but more realistic than most. She may be meant to be visiting a grave site. Setting looks as though it was once gilt, definitely not gold. Think clasp has been replaced; hinge is made in an unusual way.
