    This bowl is approximately 12 inches across. I love the figure of 'Marco' inside it. I have no idea what the E.V. is for underneath Marco and the stylized plants. Marco must have been in agriculture or horticulture. The stylized plants remind me of some of the ones drawn by people from some of the Pueblos - like Santo Domingo. But definitely Mexican.

      thanks maryh! the ruler is from near my hometown. my dad owned a couple buildings next to it. one of my very early memories is when Redlands caught fire from a wig they were drying. we saw the building burn down.
