    Small gold filled or gold plated pocket knife shown here. At first glance I thought it was for cutting cigar tips but realized the blade does not extend into the open part of the knife handle. Tang is marked Robeson ShurEdge in a pattern that was used by the company from 1916-1939. Trying to determine what the knife was intended for.

      A cigar smoker informed me to simply press the blade down to cut the cigar end.
