    Please help! What is this? It is incredibly heavy and has an inscription on the bottom. One staff seems to be broken off.

      Google in "Guan Yin" or "Guanyin" for more info.
      (sometimes transliterated as Kuan Yin / Kuanyin / Quan Yin)

      Enjoy these. They are all quite wonderful.

      It is Chinese or Japanese made, thousand arms Kuan Yin. The characters/kanji on the 2 hands in the last picture mean sun and moon, respectively. The mark is the maker's mark, cannot read. Seems to be iron cast, but what is with that copper piece? In my opinion, it is Chinese. Outstanding, looks like ~1900. It is a treasure.
