Silver?

Ok so I know most people are going to think pewter which it may be... but it melts ice instantly, (as does silver) it has that silver chime, it repels magnets, it had black like tarnish on it... that hallmark is like a head I thought it was a bird or something. It has like a date etched into it I think it says 1426?or something. I’ve scrubbed it a million times “I’m a novice” I have no idea I haven’t taken it for appraisal because I was just released from the hospital after nine days and three surgeries on my leg. Please any info? Silver? Pewter? Date? Thank you
