    I found this very nice and very heavy majolica rooster a few days ago. This piece feels much more 'majolica/faience' than most Mexican pieces. I assume 'M Mex.' stands for Michoacan Mexico, but could be Morelos or ??

      Is there another initial below the “M”? Maybe potters initials rather than the first letter of a Mexican state?
