My father has this cooler in his garage and I want to refurbish it but don't want to spend a lot of money on it if it isn't worth the resale. Anyone have any info to spare?

I owned a very similar machine up until about five years ago and then passed it on to my son. The one I owned was a fully functional refrigerated unit and had the tray insert. It also had the original paint/decals which were in very good condition. It was estimated to be worth $800-$1100 at that time. It was made by Glasco and called the Glasco Starlet made in the 1950s. It had a coin operated box on the left side. The right side opened up with a large allen wrench tool and revealed additional bottle storage. You probably already know this, but the parts are still readily available for restoration down to the rubber seals that went around the top. Hope this helps somewhat.
