We are cleaning up my late fathers stuff and coming across some really weird items. This pointy object is 20” long when the point is fully retracted and will extend to 26” long. The end is some kind of handle I think, with an elastic band like a sling shot would have. Great if you wish to poke your eye out, but kind of useless for anything that I could dream up. Any ideas? The teaspoon is there for scale only.
    Thanks,
    Ron

If the right portion is hollow and there is a seal fit between the two pieces, it could be penetration probe that uses minor air pressure to test for viscosity? No markings? Or scale?

      Hi Motoolz,
No seal between the two sliding pieces. Just a knob to adjust the length. No markings or scale. Thanks for you input.
      Regards,
      Ron
